100 happy weeks

Every morning for the past week I have been feeling very “Married Sans-Children” as I eat chocolate covered strawberries that a friend sent to me (to get though my first week in “the peg”) for breakfast.  Maybe all I need is a pair of kitten heels and to change my name to… well, Peg, as I settle into my new role as  a Temporary Housewife (TH).

Of course,  I do what all new TH’s do.  O.K, I don’t know exactly what they do.   Going from a working girl in the city to a TH living in the burbs, a definite moment of (wtf) or  self-reflection is required here – perhaps both.  Do I do things that I have always wanted to do and haven’t had the time for?  Maybe I can save the world, join a mall walking group…they all sound very interesting,  I’m unsure however of their success rate once my contract ends.

When you’re a TH you have a lot of time to think, and as I contemplated between saving the world and blogging I opted for the latter.

With this, I have decided to start my 2015 new year’s resolution early, 10 weeks early in fact. As everyone close to me knows how much I love them they also know how hard it is to get ahold of me (my phone screening tendencies can be less than admirable) and being even further away it will be even harder to keep in touch as we are no longer an elevator, walk or drive away.  In my efforts to keep everyone up-to-date on the day-to-day I am bringing you “100 happy weeks”.

A spin-off of the 100 happy days initiative that has gone viral, it’s my promise to keep family & friends and followers informed of the idiocracies & hypocracies (and regularities) that take place each week in our lives, as I begin the journey as the chef’s wife, in Winnipeg.

Hop on and join us for the ride!
